Die Berliner Forschungsgruppe von Stefan Krüskemper & Kerstin Polzin untersucht seit 2009 performativ Fragestellungen zu Kunst und öffentlichem Raum.
Praktischer Ansatz ihrer Intervention »Superconstellation« ist eine gleichermaßen performative wie diskursive Untersuchungsmethode, die abstrakte Fragestellungen anhand von Raumpositionen und Körperwahrnehmungen erlebbar und gestaltbar macht. Mittels performativer Strukturaufstellungen entsteht ein komplexer Diskurs über Fragen der Kunst und der Wirklichkeit.
Der Künstler Joseph Beuys stand zum Beispiel im Mittelpunkt einer performativen Aufstellungsreihe, die heutige Arbeitsbedingungen und Wirklichkeitsbelange künstlerischer Praxis im gesellschaftlichen Kontext beleuchtete. Modellhafte Referenzsituationen aus dem Werk von Beuys mit ihren Bezügen zum Heute bildeten den Fokus der Auseinandersetzung in den Räumen der Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung.
Since 2009, Stefan Krüskemper & Kerstin Polzin’s Berlin research group has been taking a performative approach to issues of art and public space.
In practice, their work »Superconstellation« involves a research method that is as discursive as it is performative. It uses body awareness and positioning within a space to give shape to abstract questions, allowing them to be physically experienced. The structural constellations that the performances create give rise to a complex discourse on questions of art and reality.
The artist Joseph Beuys was, for example, the focal point of a series of performative constellations that Stefan Krüskemper & Kerstin Polzin staged at the Heinrich Böll Foundation. These cast light on contemporary working conditions and realities governing artistic production in a social context. The works of Beuys as they relate to the 21st century served as reference points in this exploration.
